Biographie :
Avocat au barreau de Delhi, Swatanter Kumar est nommé juge en 1994 et rejoint la Cour Suprême indienne en 2009. Il démissionne en 2012 pour devenir Président du National Green Tribunal, une Cour spécialisée dans le droit de l’environnement. Sa contribution en faveur du développement du droit de l’environnement indien est exceptionnelle, et il est récompensé en 2015 du prestigieux National Law Day Award.
Lawyer at the Delhi Bar, Swatanter Kumar was appointed Judge in 1994, and he joined the Indian Supreme Court in 2009. He resigned in 2012 to become President of the National Green Tribunal, a Court specialized in environment law. He was awarded in 2015 with the National Law Day Award for his unique contribution in the field of development of environment laws.
